I really fail to understand how such photos, and those from Cuba, can be called photojournalism. They are saturated with black and darkness to manipulate the viewer's emotions.
Political Art? Propaganda? Yes, you can call them that.
Objective photo-journalism? Not at all.

I'm sorry. How are your 4 photographs supposed to represent Ethiopia? You can find dumpsites, haze and smoke in any major city around the globe. Are you saying that only Addis is polluted?
Have you noticed that your images are creating a rather condescending attitude among those who have no idea what Ethiopia is like? I'd say they are purposely negative. You have not conveyed a complete or true image.
@Lisa It's rather lame to imply that Ethiopia is hell based on what you glean from one photograph.
