With special permission from the government in the Ukraine I was able to spend some time photographing some incredible, off limits places in Chernobyl. I took far too many pictures and it is taking forever to sort through them all, but I will post a feature story here as soon as I am done. In the meantime here is a sample.
I will also begin offering a new series of photojournalism workshops in Chernobyl beginning in 2013. Keep an eye out here or check in with the Photojournalism Workshops page on my main site. These workshops will go beyond the standard Chernobyl photography to also focus on the lives of the settlers who have returned to live in the zone despite the potential risks.

Looking forward to the Chernobyl photographs, Zoriah. I am sure they'll be as striking as all your work. Wonderful that you're doing workshops in Chernobyl.
You can also do one in India's Bhopal, where Dow Chemical's gas disaster left a permanent scar deep within the city's dwellers.
Peace to you, always,
Soham
