Groups of young explorers can be found all over Europe every weekend trekking into forbidden places for the thrill of seeing things that few others have had a chance to see. France in particular has hundreds of sites around the country that are rich in history and also off limits to the public. I would like to sincerely thank my dear friends for always including me in your explorations when I am in town! I look forward to the next one!
For more stories on exploration in France take a look at the Paris Catacombs Photos and if you like those there is a part two of that series as well...I am sure you can find it if you dig a bit :)
A French urban explorer shows off his protective jacket.
A Do Not Enter sign outside of a military zone which contains the old war bunker complex.
Explorers gather in woods to party before entering the complex.
A young man makes a joint during a pre exploration party.
Searching for an entrance into one of the bunkers.
One of the explorers enters a bunker through an unsealed doorway.
A long, industrial hallway leads from one bunker to another.
Deep underground in the machine room one of the explorers plays on the equipment.
A group pauses for an ipromptu party in one of the chambers.
A cross erodes with time in the bunker chapel.
To Be Continued...

I'm curious why these places are off limits... is it actually dangerous to enter? Or for historic preservation? or some other reason?
