In the present day, we usually associate Japan with technology, industry, hustle and bustle, workaholic lives, environmental concerns...at least, in India...
We seem to overlook what is remotely traditional and dates back to old times. ..
Japan has always been a place I have wanted to travel.
There's a book by travel writer Pico Iyer, 'The Lady and the Monk' where the author writes about his experiences in Kyoto and how he fell in love with a wonderful woman, the wife of a salaryman living in domesticity with her children and the complexities of the relationship in the backdrop of beautiful Kyoto. If you have not read the book, Zoriah, you can go through it...a wonderful read...
Thanks for your photograph. Maybe I would watch a Kurosawa tonight.
Peace to you, my friend!
