I have begun a new photography workshop program in which students will come and live aboard my ship with me in Europe. The focus of the workshops will be on travel photography with an emphasis on technical aspects of photography, setting up and using your camer andediting images on a computer. This is a perfect opportunity to vastly improve your photography skills in a short period of time. Of course I am still continuing my one-on-one, in-field
photojournalism workshops, but I am currently not able to keep up with the demand for these workshops (I can only spend so much of my life in airplanes going from continent to continent) so I have decided to offer these new workshops in addition to the photojournalism workshops. This new program is suitable to those who want to learn and experience but also want a bit more comfort and less intense subject matter.
During the spring of 2011 travel photography workshops will be held just outside of Amsterdam. Beginning in summer, possibly fall 2011 workshops will be held in France. Workshops are four days and four nights and students will have their own private room. There is a kitchen, hot shower, washer and dryer available during your stay. The workshop fee includes meals which we will cook together and on the final night we eat out at one of my favorite local restaurants.
The travel photography workshops include both shooting and editing so students must bring a camera and laptop. Students will also be given study materials, exercises, media and documents to continue their study after the workshop.
Just like the in-field photojournalism workshops these live aboard travel photography workshops will also be tailored to each individual students needs and desires.
